Earlier this evening I got the phone call every home owner dreads.  It was my alarm monitoring company informing me of a fire alarm triggered at our home.  Nobody was home or in harms way.  But as we were over 30-minutes away we worried not knowing if our house was burning down!

BATTLE! – Fitbit Force vs Polar Loop

New gadgets typically arrive just in time for  holiday season shoppers.  This benefited me nicely during my recent purchase of the Fitbit Force, which came to market around the same time as the  JAWBONE UP24.  While those two companies have had wristband activity trackers for some time, there is a new guy in town who wants a piece of the action.  Say hello to the Polar Loop Activity Tracker.  Let’s put it into BATTLE with my Fitbit Force and see how it does!

Review of the iBitz by GeoPalz – Kids Activity Tracker

During my recent trip to the local electronics store to pick up some other activity trackers that I’ll be testing soon I came across something interesting.  On the end-cap where the adult-sized devices reside was a rainbow of colorful little units called the iBitz Kids Activity Trackers.  Using my phone to quickly visit the manufacturer’s website informed me that this might be a fun gadget for my six-year-daughter.  At only $34.99 it was worth a shot, right?
